Linjer Jewelry Review

{Wearing Linjer Mother of Pearl ring on pointer finger and Linjer half tennis bracelet on wrist. These items were kindly gifted to me from Linjer but this post is not sponsored and all opinions are my own.}

Though I haven’t done a Linjer review in the past, I’ve always admired their thoughtfully designed products (but mostly their bags). I mentioned them in my Hermes Bolide review and I guess that got their attention because they asked me if I wanted to try some of their jewelry items (it looks like they’re phasing out of the bag market for now). After taking a look at their wide selection of ethical jewelry, I decided to try their mother of pearl Margit ring and their gold tennis bracelet.

When it comes to jewelry I tend to favor antique or vintage (I used to source my collection from Etsy though nowadays I usually get them from sellers I trust via Instagram or purchase GIA certified items from the RealReal). There’s just something about an old piece that makes you feel like you’re wearing a piece of history as well as a piece of art. But sometimes you don’t want to wear the fancy stuff (hello life with kids). So I’m always on the look out for quality vermeil jewelry, and I’m happy to say that Linjer pieces fit the bill.

My favorite of the two pieces I got from Linjer is definitely the gold tennis bracelet. I love the fact that it’s half tennis bracelet and half paperclip chain, which means the bracelet size is infinitely adjustable (under 7”). Since I have small wrists, it’s hard to find jewelry that can size down to 6” and I usually custom adjust the high end stuff. But with this bracelet I don’t have to. And I love that the cubic zirconia gives quite a bit of spakle. TBH when I mix this in with my fine jewelry, you can’t tell that it’s not diamonds. But if I lose or break this bracelet at least I won’t be breaking the bank.

I also really like the Margit mother of pearl ring. It reminds me of the beach and the shells I sometimes see scattered in the sand. The luminescence of the mother of pearl looks great with the bezel style setting. The ring is both simple yet classic. I also love that no ring is exactly the same because each piece of mother of pearl is different. And even though I’m rough with my rings (I don’t usually take them off for anything—even lifting objects and stuff), the ring is unscathed. The vermeil is super thick and there’s no tarnishing.

And what makes Linjer jewelry ethical? They use recycled metals, which includes the recycled sterling silver at the core of these pieces, and ethically sourced gemstones (and lab created diamonds). All packaging is from recycled materials and they don’t ship with an ounce of plastic. And lastly they’ve been paying carbon off-sets for their shipping since 2020.

I’m also quite impressed with their 2 year warranty. I find that a lot of gold-plated jewelry will tarnish within 2 years, so this must mean that Linjer really stands behind the quality of their gold vermeil (which tends to have a thicker coat of gold than regular plating). I 100% plan to use these two pieces regularly and see if there are any changes in the next couple of years (and of course I’ll keep you posted).

Anyway thank you to the folks at Linjer for a no-pressure-review request and for these really lovely pieces. And even though I think the prices of these peices are more than reasonable, when they go on sale (I think they have several a year, and definitely one in November for the holidays) the prices are quite a steal!
