Away Two-Way Crossbody Bag Review

As I mentioned in September’s recap, I used some of my store credit from referrals to buy the Two-Way Crossbody Bag from Away. I never really thought to buy anything except for luggage from Away (which are awesome by the way—Away luggage review here). But something led me to their site, and I have to say I’m impressed with their lineup of bags. And like I was with their luggage, I’m very happy with the crossbody from Away.

I’ve tried other small belt bags in the past, including the one from Quince. But they’re usually too small for my needs. So I love that the Two Way Crossbody bag from Away is big enough for essentials. I can fit my card holder and keys in the small pouch (which I would rarely open). And I can fit my phone, sunglasses, hand wipes, lip balm, etc. (basically anything that’s not too long) in the large pouch.

I also must admit I’ve been wanting to do the multi-pouch look that’s trendy these days. There’s something so utilitarian about the look and I’m a fan. I also like that I can change the configuration of the bag if my needs change (maybe I just need my wallet and keys), or maybe I just need the larger pouch. And larger compartment can also become a clutch in a pinch. The versatility of the bag is really great.

As for the quality, I’m pretty impressed with the quality of the leather overall. The pebbled leather is durable and fairly scratch resistant. The zipper is smooth which makes the small pouch easy to open with one hand. The larger pouch closes with magnets. I can see why Away made this bag, since it’d be perfect for traveling.

Unfortunately this is a limited edition bag and as of this writing, they no longer have the black. They do still have the pink one, but pink is definitely not for everyone. Anyway having tried this Away bag, I have confidence that their bag line is as good as their luggage, and I’m sure I’ll buy something from them again!
