I have been a long time fan of the Augustinus Bader Rich cream and have tried a bunch of items from the brand because of that (see my all my Augustinus Bader reviews here). And even though their prices are exorbitant I’m always intrigued by their new products and want to give them a try. The Eye Cream and The Eyebrow and Lash Enhancing Serum were the next on my must-try list, so what did I think of them?
The Eye Cream
Honestly this was a big flop for me. The texture of the eye cream is not that rich or moisturizing. In fact my under eye area actually gets quite dry so a couple times when I tried it, it actually stung a little. Eeek! I much prefer just using the AB Rich cream I already have and patting that on under my eyes when I moisturize the rest of my face. I can’t recommend this product, especially at the price point of $225 for half a fluid oz and all the excess packaging that comes with it (you can also just get the refill, which is only $20 less but comes without the large blue ceramic outer case that you’d throw away anyway). I used the whole bottle because it cost me a pretty penny and I can’t say I see any noticeable difference.
The Eyebrow and Lash Enhancing Serum
I really wanted to like this because I’m always looking for ways to grow my eyebrows and lashes. Unfortunately this was a dud for me as well. I just didn’t see any noticeable difference for either lashes or brows. And I have to say applying on the lashes was a bit tricky since if you use too much product it kind of gets into the eyes (which was ok since at least it didn’t irritate my eyes).
So sadly both of these eye-related AB products didn’t work for me. If any of you guys have tried it and it worked for you, please share! Otherwise I’d say take a pass on these.
