Hahaland Review: Toddler Busy Book and Dinosaur Robot/Trucks Toy

*The items in this review were gifted. However, this post is not sponsored and all my opinions are my own.

If you’re starting to think about gifts for the kids in your life (I know it’s a tad early), then might I recommend a couple toys that I were gifted by Hahaland and that Emi loves: The Montessori Toddler Busy Book and the Dinosaur Robot/Trucks Toy.

The Montessori Toddler Busy Book

When the kind folks at Hahaland asked if I wanted to try this Toddler Busy Book for Emi I jumped at the chance because I’ve actually been eyeing something like this for roadtrips and airplane rides (this came in really handy on our recent Airstream trip—especially the one leg of the drive that was 6+ hours 😱). Plus, as a bonus the cover is pink and covered with unicorns—something that Emi is all about these days (if you’re looking for a non-unicorn version then they also have a blue dino version). I feel like these busy books are not only great at keeping kids occupied, but they also give toddlers a chance to work on skills that need work. Emi particularly likes working on buckling and unbuckling clips (and there’s plenty of practice buckles in the book). She’s also really into learning her letter so I love that there’s an alphabet page in there as well. I think this busy book is probably best for kids aged 2-4 (it might be a little too simple for the 5-7 year olds). And best of all I love that everything that’s loose is attached by velcro so it’s less likely they’ll lose pieces (it also comes with extra velcro stickers just in case). I look forward to breaking this out for future travel (currently I try to “hide” it so it keeps some of the novelty), but I think it’s a great value for what it is. Also use the promo code fairlyhaha at Amazon for 10% off (with holiday promotions, you might be able to get it for $25!).

Dinosaur Robot/Trucks Toy

Ok so Emi might be a tad young for the listed age range of this toy, and she can’t actually make the robot dinosaur from the trucks without help. But she still love love loves this toy and can’t get enough of it. Most of the time we leave it as trucks because she loves trucks. But on the occasion we’ve made the dinosaur robot, she loves making the dinosaur roar (it comes with sounds and lights). I look forward to keeping this toy around until she’s of the age to be able to build it herself (she already loves tools and building things so I know someday she’ll be able to do it). The egg srewdriver is also really adorable, though tbh we use a “power tool” that came with a different toy set for a quicker build/take down of the dinosaur. The only thing about this toy is that the screws are hazardous for very young kids and can get lost if you’re not careful about keeping the pieces together. So it really is best for a kid ages 5-7. And best of all, I think this toy is a really great value for all 5 trucks that you get and the ginormous dinosaur it can turn into. Plus you can use the promo code 10fairly at Amazon for 10% off (with holiday promotions, you might be able to get it for as low as $24!).

Anyway hope these two toys spark some ideas of gifts you can give to the kids in your life. I have also reviewed two other toys graciously gifted to Emi by Hahaland and you can find that Hahaland review here. And as always thank you for supporting the brands that support this blog!
