Pepper Bra Review: The Lift Up Bra

After trying out the Mesh All You, the Classic All You, and the Limitless Wirefree bras from Pepper (my first Pepper bra review here), I decided to try out their Lift Up bra, ie their version of the push-up bra. As I mentioned in my first Pepper review, I had been wearing mostly push-up bras before this because I’ve always been self-conscious of my bust size. But I have to admit that after wearing the All You bras (my favorite being the Classic for the comfort though it’s not as supportive) I’ve gotten used to my chest size and don’t feel the need to give it a boost. But for the sake of experimentation and for those days that I feel like being boosted, I decided to go for the Lift Up.

So what did I think?

Well it definitely gives you the appearance of a bigger chest. It’s also more supportive and shapes your bust better, but at the expense of comfort (well compared to the Classic All You bras). But I can still wear the Lift Up bra all day comfortably without thinking about it. And yes, there’s no gap between the cup and the breast in this bra as well.

As for sizing, I got my usual 38A and had no issues with it. I got it in the Sienna Rose color since that’s the most “nude” of the colors according to my skin tone (the off white one is quite a bit whiter and can be seen through some of my less opaque tops), and the Tuscan color is quite a bit darker.

I think the only drawback to this bra is that since it isn’t attached to the straps at the top of the cup (like the All You bras), so the top edge of the bra cup isn’t flush to the chest. Thus if I’m wearing something fitted, like a fitted tee, you can kind of see the outline of the top of the bra through the shirt. It’s not a big deal, but when I’m wearing fitted items, I tend to go for the Mesh All You.

Overall I say I reach for this bra as equally as the All You bras. I tend to go for the All You’s when I want comfort and don’t care about support while I go for the Lift Up when I want a better shape.
