Wearing: Quince Fisherman Sweater, Quince Silk Skirt, Beklina clog, and Acne Studios bag
Since my last Quince round-up was pretty popular, I thought I’d continue the series with my next “batch” of Quince items. Thank you again for all those who shopped through my referral link in the past. It’s because of you guys that I’m able to try all these things from Quince on credit.
Supersoft Fleece Wide Leg Pants
These are by far my favorite item from Quince in this roundup. I originally reviewed Quince’s Supersoft Fleece Shorts in the last round, and I loved them as comfy lounge shorts. Well once the temperatures started to dip, I decided to try out the supersoft fleece pants and love love love them (I’m currently wearing them as I write this and I pretty much wear them everyday now). They’re super warm and comfy, and best of all they’re on the shorter side so it’s perfect for someone with short legs like myself. As I mentioned in the shorts review, these are unfortunately made with some polyester (though on the bright side, it’s recycled polyester), so I throw them in my guppy bag to wash (to make sure microplastics don’t enter the water). These are also lounge pants that work when doing errands as well (they look more polished than regular sweats).
FlowKnit Bike Shorts
Since restarting my exercise routine regularly, I’ve found that I needed more bike shorts (also since I’ve sized out of most of my old ones). So I decided to try these from Quince and honestly, I’m not much of a fan. They’re on the thinner side so don’t hold you in as much (though that does make them super comfy for lounging if that’s what you’re looking for). But I also found that there’s quite a bit of camel toe because the material is so soft.
Cashmere Fisherman Sweater
I’ve always wanted the Jenni Kayne cashmere fisherman sweater but I couldn’t fathom spending $445 (even with their 15% discounts that you see everywhere). So I was really excited to try Quince’s version of the fisherman sweater. The styling of the Quince sweater is very similar to the Jenni Kayne one, and $89 is a much easier price point to swallow. There might be a difference in the thickness but since I can’t do a side-by-side comparison I don’t know for sure. Anyway I am completely satisfied with my Quince fisherman sweater (which I’m wearing in the pic above) and look forward to styling it in more ways in the future.
European Linen Crib Quilt
I’m still transitioning Emi out of her sleepsack and to using a blanket, so this linen crib quilt doesn’t get a whole lot of use yet. But it’s a great quality quilt with minimal chemicals and dyes used in it’s production. I’ve washed it once already and it’s easy to launder (and gets softer too). If you’re looking for a quality toddler quilt, I would say this one is a great value!
Candles
I’m not really a candles person (I’m not really scents person in general—I find it all too overpowering), but I got these as gifts from my friends. The candles are made from coconut and soy wax, and all are made in LA. I love the minimal styling and the scents were pretty good too. I’ll update this post with what my friends think after they’ve had a chance to try them out.
Diamond Wedding Band
When I reset my engagement ring late last year (due to it not fitting because of pregnancy/childbirth and my change in style preferences) I also decided to change up my wedding band. My old white gold, channel set wedding band didn’t fit with my new yellow gold solitaire setting. I wanted something slim and simple and Quince’s wedding band fit the bill. The ring is ethically made in India from conflict-free diamonds. It’s also made-to-order, which means it takes a little while to deliver. But it’s definitely worth the wait. It’s a great quality ring that looks better in person (those little diamonds sparkle!). Something similar would cost $405 from Mejuri or $790 from Blue Nile. Also I could see this ring be a generally great stackable ring if you’re not in the market for a wedding band.
